1. What Architra is

Architra is a marketplace for architectural designs. Architects, graduates and students upload plans, drawings and models and offer them for sale as files. Architra is operated by Hölzl & Huser GbR; the details are in the legal notice.

2. Accounts

An account needs a working email address and nothing else. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to the address it uses, since that address is how you sign in.

3. Who sells to the buyer

Architra sells to the buyer in its own name and pays the author their share afterwards. The contract of sale is therefore between the buyer and Architra, and the author grants Architra the right to sell the work on these terms by offering it here.

4. What authors warrant

By offering a work you confirm that it is yours and that you may grant the rights the step you chose describes. It must also break no agreement you have with a client, an employer or a university. If you upload somebody else's work, Architra removes it and closes your account.

5. What buyers get

Copyright stays with the author. The step the work was sold under sets what the buyer may do with the file, and it is the whole of what they bought:

The terms in force when you buy are recorded with your purchase and do not change afterwards, whatever the author does with the listing later. Passing the file on to somebody else is not part of any of the three steps. Every page of a downloaded PDF names the buyer and the sale it came from.

6. Prices, commission and payouts

Authors set their own price in whole euros. Architra keeps 15% of each sale. The author's share becomes payable 14 days after the sale and is paid out through Stripe to the account the author set up. Authors are responsible for their own taxes on what they earn.

7. Withdrawal

Files are digital content delivered immediately. What that means for the right of withdrawal is set out separately on the withdrawal page.

8. Taking works down

An author can withdraw a work from the marketplace at any time. Architra removes works that infringe somebody's rights, following the reporting procedure. In both cases anyone who already bought the work keeps their download, because they paid for it and the file is already with them.

9. Liability

Architra checks no upload before it appears and gives no warranty that a design is buildable, complete, compliant with local building law or fit for any particular project. Whether a drawing works for what you intend is your judgement to make, and for anything built, the judgement of the architect or engineer who takes responsibility for it.

10. Changes

These terms may change. Purchases already made keep the terms they were made under.
